M. Night Shyamalan Foundation
Jennifer Walters-Michalec has spent her professional career advocating for social justice and equality in Philadelphia and around the globe. As the first and only Executive Director for the M. Night Shyamalan Foundation, Walters-Michalec is responsible for all financial and operational activity including fundraising, domestic and international grant implementation, evaluation, and the overall strategic direction of the organization. Over her seven years with the foundation, Jennifer has overseen this organization from its start-up phase and has directed multiple projects throughout 10 different countries, including a commitment for the Clinton Global Initiative, with a specific focus on increased access to quality education for children. She was also instrumental in overseeing the research, writing and publication of the book I Got Schooled, a non-fiction book synthesizing over 200 peer reviewed research articles focused on evidence-based education reform practices.
