I recently completed a second master's degree in Educational Leadership at Chestnut Hill College as well my principal's certification for Pennsylvania. My first master's degree is in Media Studies from the New School for Social Research where I also completed an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from Parsons, The New School for Design. I've been working with urban youth since 2002, first as a teaching artist with Urban Arts Partnership and the Center for Arts Education in New York City and then for the New York City Department of Education. I also ran my own professional art studio where I created work that was shown in galleries across the country. I taught art in and around New York City for six years before moving to Philadelphia where I started a family and became a homeowner. After four years teaching art in North Philadelphia I moved into leadership at my school and am excited to be going into my 7th year at my school!
