DJ, COO of Jounce Partners, is a not-for-profit leader with a Master of Business Administration degree and 15 years experience in community development. DJ works closely with the Executive Director to set and execute Jounce Partner’s strategic and ensure the organization has the optimal systems and resources to grow and push education reform locally, regionally and nationally. His extensive functional expertise includes operations, communications & PR, marketing & sales, staff development, financials (P&L), fundraising, conference/event management, C-level engagement, Board of Director relations and volunteer leadership. DJ is most interested in entrepreneurial strategies in education that create economic development opportunities for low-income, low-wealth, and diverse communities, with a particular focus on children and young adults. DJ also serves on the Community Grantmaking Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors for Bread and Roses Community Fund. DJ enjoys mentoring African-American male high school students and volunteers with several community organizations throughout the area. In addition to his MBA from Saint Joseph’s University, DJ holds a BA degree from the University of Virginia and a MBA degree from St. Joseph University. Originally, from Cleveland, Ohio, DJ has called Philadelphia home since 2005.
