Reynelle Brown Staley
After-School All-Stars Philadelphia
As a native of Harlem, I know firsthand the impact that high-quality academic opportunities can have for students in the poorest of neighborhoods. I am a graduate of Yale University, Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Law School and was a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs. I began my career as a litigation associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where my work included a successful landmark challenge to the public education funding system in New York State. / / Prior to joining ASAS Philadelphia, I managed efforts to promote equal rights and opportunities within Philadelphia as Deputy Director of the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations. At the Commission, I spearheaded a number of capacity building efforts, including overhauling the agency’s laws, policies and procedures, designing a dispute resolution program and establishing strategic partnerships with local organizations and universities.
