Social Studies Curriculum Designer
Relay Graduate School of Education
I began my teaching career in 2006 at Esperanza Charter School as a high school social studies teachers. I taught, wrote curriculum, and fostered community partnerships with the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) and the National Archives in Philadelphia. In 2010, I won NFTE's business teacher of the year for the Philadelphia region. In 2013, I transitioned from the classroom to work for Relay Graduate School of Education as a social studies curriculum designer. I live in West Philadelphia and have served on the Garden Court Community Association's education committee. We worked to maintain a tutoring program in Lea Elementary School.
