Toolbox for Teachers
I am the founder of Toolbox for Teachers, a program designed in Philadelphia to provide educators with mindfulness tools and social emotional learning. I hold a Master’s Degree in Education as well as a Master’s of Counseling with a concentration in holistic studies. I created my company as a result of my experiences as a school teacher in Philadelphia, from my mindfulness practice, and also from my experience as a child and family therapist. This spring, I was named as a “Woman of Accomplishment” by the Philadelphia chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa (an honorary women educators’ society) and was a SDP induction speaker, and Summer Institute trainer, and won a much publicized recent competition on msnbc for my work. I live in South Philly, where I enjoy a good cannoli, working with horses in Fairmount Park, and spending time with my family and "framily".
