Megan is the founder and President of a neighborhood group called Neighbors Investing in Childs Elementary (NICE), which supports G.W. Childs School at 16th and Wharton in South Philadelphia. Her interest in public education stems from mentoring and tutoring in Detroit during her time at the University of Michigan, where she attended as an undergraduate majoring in Organizational Studies. In 2008, Megan moved to Philadelphia as a Teacher for American Corp member and taught 7th and 8th grade social studies in North Philadelphia. Since 2010, Megan has worked at the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia helping to build the youth program, Safe Routes Philly. In January 2014, Megan became the Education Director at the Bicycle Coalition and now oversees all education efforts including Safe Routes Philly, Cadence Cycling Foundation, Bicycle Ambassadors, Women Bike PHL, and Bike Share outreach. She belongs to Circle of Hope church where she served as leader of the Compassion Teams board for from 2012-2014.
