Alyson is a Philly native who graduated from Princeton University in 2000. After a short stint in business, she taught 4th and 5th grade in the Bay Area. Following this she was the Program Director for Teach For America Philadelphia's high schools, working closely with teachers and administrators on management, instruction and professional development. In 2007, Alyson graduated with distinction from Oxford's Said Business School with a focus in social enterprise management. She then returned to Philadelphia to launch the school collective, an online professional development network that enhances school and teacher quality. Alyson is currently on the board of the Russell Byers Charter School, St. James School, The William Penn Charter School's Women's Legacy Fund and The Philadelphia Kroc Center.
