Leadership for Educational Equity
Kwame Floyd is a Regional Director at Leadership For Educational Equity (LEE). In this role he works to engage, support, and develop the leadership of current and former educators to identify and execute against policy and politically related barriers to ensure that all children are afforded an excellent education. Prior to joining LEE, Kwame taught for 5 years and served as the math coordinator at a charter school in New Orleans. He also worked for Teach For America as a Manager of Teacher Leadership and Development where he managed and developed teachers across the Greater New Orleans area. Kwame was a 2012 Emerging Political Leader Fellow through Leadership for Educational Equity, a 2013 Fellow at New Leaders Council, and former board member of the New Orleans Parent Organizing Network. Kwame received his B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from The Pennsylvania State University and Masters in Educational Leadership from Columbia University.
