Director of Performance
Freire Charter School
Leigh Botwinik is the Director of Performance at Freire Charter School. She is the former Director of Graduate Programs at the University of Pennsylvania's Fels Institute of Government, where she also managed the SchoolStat project, a collaboration between the Fels Institute and the School District of Philadelphia to support data-driven school leadership. Prior to coming to Fels, she taught first and second grade in Washington, DC. Leigh holds a BA from the University of Michigan and a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. She currently serves as board member and fundraising chair for the Friends of Chester Arthur.
